“You really need to get some maintenance done on this or it’s going to fall apart. And by the looks of things in a fight.” She knew those dents and scratches, she could point to them and say that was cause by a bullet, that one by a knife, that by a good kick…she was the Elric’s mechanic after all. “I’d be happy to try and fix it up for you.”
She bit her lip a little, looking down at her arm again. “Hm, if you say so…” Her eyes darted back up to Winry, recrossing her arms. “How much?”
“First one’s free.” She chirped. Besides, she’d feel terrible if she sent Eden on her way, knowing she was going to get in a fight with bad automail. “I’ll fix up the joints, get some of the dents out and see if I can fix the port up a bit, okay?”
She pouted slightly; she’d have to find some way to repay Winry, even if it wasn’t with money. It just didn’t seem fair. At the mention of all that fixing, she made a face. “That…doesn’t sound fun at all.”
“I like working with automail so it’s not a problem, really.” Winry smiled as sincerely as possible. She wasn’t sure if it was the mechanic in her or the humanitarian but she really did want to help, regardless of costs.
