“You really need to get some maintenance done on this or it’s going to fall apart. And by the looks of things in a fight.” She knew those dents and scratches, she could point to them and say that was cause by a bullet, that one by a knife, that by a good kick…she was the Elric’s mechanic after all. “I’d be happy to try and fix it up for you.”

She bit her lip a little, looking down at her arm again. “Hm, if you say so…” Her eyes darted back up to Winry, recrossing her arms. “How much?”

“First one’s free.” She chirped. Besides, she’d feel terrible if she sent Eden on her way, knowing she was going to get in a fight with bad automail. “I’ll fix up the joints, get some of the dents out and see if I can fix the port up a bit, okay?”

She pouted slightly; she’d have to find some way to repay Winry, even if it wasn’t with money. It just didn’t seem fair. At the mention of all that fixing, she made a face. “That…doesn’t sound fun at all.”

“I like working with automail so it’s not a problem, really.” Winry smiled as sincerely as possible. She wasn’t sure if it was the mechanic in her or the humanitarian but she really did want to help, regardless of costs.

It almost physically hurt Winry to see automail in such bad condition, but regardless she’d do what she could. “Wow…how long have you had this? And when was your last repair?”

She frowned, putting her hand on her hip as she thought. “I’ve had it for three years, and uh.. probably when it fell off that one time…” She bit her lip, moving to cross her arms. “About a year ago.” Eden shrugged then, extending her arm and spreading her metal fingers. “Gotta say, it’s been through hell.”

“Well at least you’re in one piece this time.” She said with a grin. “Good to see you, Ed.”

“Oh come oooon I’m not falling apart every time you see me-“

“It’s great to see you too, Winry!”

“Okay maybe not every time…just…most times. So what brings you all the way out here?”

“Well. I don’t know. I think I just casually ended up here after looking for Alphonse…You haven’t seen him have you?”

“You lost Al?” She rolled her eyes. “I haven’t seen him in weeks. Have you tried the animal shelter?”

“Hey-y don’t give me that look! It wasn’t my fault!”

“I’ve tried everywhere. I mean he was here a little while ago but…Not anymore. And I just keep running into different versions of him. None of them armor…”

“Well you’re the one who lost him!” She scowled. “…Different versions? There’s more than one Al?” Well that was just weird…

“Well-“

“Anyway. Yeah…Different Al’s…There’s one from some other ‘place’. There’s an older one…Another older one…um…And my own Alphonse. It’s kinda weird.”

“…Well that’s just great. So you’re missing Al. And you found Al but not the right Al, right? Oh wow, I just confused myself…”

“Finest in the world, huh?” She’d heard a few rumors here and there, and she couldn’t say she was surprised. “I’m surprised mine hasn’t fallen apart more often..” She always just, fixed it alchemically.

“Well I like to think so!” She grinned. “You know if you ever want me to take a look at it…”

She paled a little, glancing between Winry and her own automail arm. The last time she’d had it looked over was not a pleasant memory, but the damn thing was probably going to give out on her soon if someone didn’t. “…Well.. it’s not that bad…” She lied, rolling up her sleeve.

Of course her arm was all scratched and dented in a lot of places it probably shouldn’t. Fighting constantly probably wasn’t good for automail.

It almost physically hurt Winry to see automail in such bad condition, but regardless she’d do what she could. “Wow…how long have you had this? And when was your last repair?”

She resisted the urge to roll her eyes. “You seriously just hit on anything with a pulse, don’t you?”

Greed’s grin widened. A challenge. “Only things that are as sweet as you, toots.”

Winry scoffed, refusing to allow herself to be embarrassed. “Yeah yeah.”

Greed could she see her refusing herself to be affected. Greed took another step closer to the mechanic, leaning towards her. “So stubborn,” The sin chided. “I like ‘em feisty.”

She squirmed uncomfortably. Too close, too close. And she couldn’t even manage to think of anything to say…

Winry’s discomfort only brought the homunculus pleasure. Greed knew he couldn’t flatter her with his words all night, so why bother when he could cut straight to the chase? He placed his hand on the back of the blonde’s neck, and pulled her lips into a kiss.

Winry’s eyes went wide in something between shock and anger and she started groping around her pockets for a wrench, unfortunately not finding one. So she settled for the next best thing and shoved him away, even if he was a good kisser and clenched her fists. “Why you…!”
