History:

Winry grew up in the small country town of Resembool, alongside her two closest friends, the Elric brothers. After her parents were killed in the war, Winry lived with her Granny, Pinako, a legend of the automail, and soon enough Winry was a protege.

While Ed and Al were learning Alchemy, Winry was fast at work trying to become the best mechanic she could, which came in handy after the Elric’s attempted to raise their mother from the dead, Winry fitted Ed with an automail arm and leg to replace the one’s he had lost.

Despite her constant insisting that they write or call, the only time she hears from them is when Edward has ruined his automail and needs repairs. After her eighteenth birthday, Winry opened her own shop in the automail capital of the world: Rush Valley.
